Privacy policy

Read locally. Share when you choose.

Effective September 20, 2026

In brief

Markless is an offline document reader and long-image exporter. The app collects no data.

No collection or tracking

Markless collects no user data and does not upload files, clipboard content or usage records to developer-operated servers. There are no accounts, advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs.

Local files and history

Imported files, the latest 20 history items, favorites, search index, reading settings and thumbnails stay in app storage on your device. Deleting an item removes its caches. Older items are evicted after the 20-item limit, including favorites.

Clipboard

On foreground entry the app checks only whether text is present. It reads, detects and renders text locally only after you tap the system Paste control. It does not automatically read clipboard content.

Photos and sharing

Saving an export requests add-only Photos access; the app does not read your photo library. Files or images are handed to another app only when you select a system share destination. Photos, system backups and selected destinations follow their own system or third-party policies.

Offline rendering

Documents render in an on-device WebView. HTML scripts are disabled by default and can be enabled by you for local execution. Network requests and external resources remain blocked. There is no cloud renderer or sync service.

Deletion and backups

Delete history items or remove the app to remove local app data. Copies saved to Photos, Files or another app must be managed there. Inclusion in system backups depends on your device settings.

Website and support

These are product web pages, not an in-app network feature. Hosting infrastructure may process IP addresses, requested paths and other technical information for delivery and security; this notice does not claim that server logs are absent. If you email support, we receive the information you choose to send to respond. Do not send passwords, verification codes or unrelated private material.

Changes and contact

This notice covers the 1.0.0 release candidate and will be updated if data handling changes. Contact support@codeverything.cn for privacy and support questions.
