Toneva is a local music and audio player for iPhone, iPad and Mac, with supported direct HTTPS audio, HLS and read-only HTTPS WebDAV sources. File compatibility depends on the format and your Apple device. Check File Support explains local compatibility without uploading the file. Video playback is not part of this version.
How do I add local audio?
Use Add Music in your library to choose one or more files through the system picker, or choose an audio folder. You can also link a read-only system folder so a large collection stays in place instead of being copied into Toneva.
What happens when a file or folder is missing?
Toneva keeps the library record and offers Missing Files recovery. Choose or relink the correct source; progress and bookmarks are inherited only after identity is verified. Library cleanup and cache removal do not delete original source files.
Do Listening Rooms change the sound?
No. Warm Studio, Night Lounge and Quiet Gallery change the player's visual scene, not its sound processing. Play, pause and seek still use the same playback engine.
How do spoken playback and time bookmarks work?
In Spoken and Long Audio, explicitly choose a spoken content profile, then use supported rates, short skips and time bookmarks. Saved positions use actual media time. If the original file changes, Toneva checks its identity before reusing bookmarks and progress.
Why does Playback Details say evidence is unknown?
Toneva separates source facts, processing, requested output and available actual output evidence. A source-file sample rate is not necessarily the hardware output rate. Unknown means there is not enough evidence; Original does not promise that the entire system or DAC path is bit-perfect.
What does local recording repair do?
Optional local repair processing can make a separate preprocessed copy and can be cancelled. It does not change or upload the original recording. Broadband noise reduction is not included in this version.
How does WebDAV work?
Add an HTTPS WebDAV source and the credentials for a server you control, then browse read-only. Credentials stay in Apple Keychain. You can cache an individual supported item and later remove just that cached copy. Toneva never uploads, renames or deletes the remote source file.
How does Private Sync work?
Enable it separately on each device from the Private Sync settings while signed into the same Apple Account. Toneva syncs only favorites, playlists, playback progress and allowlisted preferences through your private iCloud database. It does not sync music, artwork, file paths, credentials, caches, time bookmarks or purchase records.
Do I need to copy my music to both devices?
Yes. Private Sync sends selected library information, not music files. Add the same audio to each device and use Connections → Private Sync → Prepare This Library when matching separately imported copies. Enable sync on each device, then choose Sync Now.
How do I transfer audio over Wi-Fi?
Open Connections → Transfer Music and start receiving. Use the same trusted private Wi-Fi or personal hotspot on both devices, then open the temporary address in a browser and enter the connection code. Sessions last 15 minutes; supported audio files can be up to 256 MB each. Keep Toneva open while receiving.
Is ListenBrainz required?
No. Toneva’s local listening statistics work without it. ListenBrainz is an optional online listening-history service, kept off until you connect your own account and enable submissions.
Can I use CarPlay now?
CarPlay is awaiting Apple’s entitlement approval and is not enabled in the current release candidate. The website will be updated when it is available.
What is free and what does Lifetime Unlock include?
You can play up to 25 local items for free. Lifetime Unlock is one optional non-consumable purchase for an unlimited local library, network sources, WebDAV and caching, advanced library tools and Private Sync. EQ is not a paid-only feature. There is no subscription. Regional prices are shown by the App Store.
How do I restore Lifetime Unlock?
Open Lifetime Unlock and choose Restore Purchases using the Apple Account that made the original purchase of com.rivonaplayer.lifetime. A refund or revocation can lock paid features again, but Toneva keeps existing local data. Never send Apple Account credentials to support.
How do I contact support?
Email support@codeverything.cn. You can optionally export a redacted compatibility or sync report and review it before attaching it. Never send WebDAV passwords or Apple Account credentials.
