Focus sessions, things, progress notes, next-step hints, completed states, cat identity and growth are stored on your device by default.

These may also be included in your personal Apple device backup. Pomeow has no account service, advertising, analytics or tracking, and we cannot read this local data.

You can explicitly save and import a complete local backup file containing focus totals, things, notes, next steps, completed states and cat progress.

You choose where the file is saved and which file to import. The app does not upload it to a Pomeow server or enable iCloud growth backup by importing it. A file may contain personal notes, so choose a trusted storage or sharing destination. The import screen previews its contents; a matching backup can fill missing data without replacing current edits. Purchases are verified separately by Apple.

Optional growth backup stores supported cat progress and related settings in your private CloudKit database, only after you enable it.

In 4.0.1, this includes cat growth, focus totals, relationship memories, identity, earned fish, wardrobe and mementos. Things, per-task records, notes, next-step hints, active sessions, buddy invitations or membership, location and weather cache are excluded. It is not automatic task synchronization. You can disable backup, delete the cloud copy, or explicitly restore supported growth data on a fresh installation.

Focus Buddy requires iCloud and uses a private custom CloudKit zone shared through CKShare.

Only invited participants can see the fields in that share: cat name and appearance, current companion state, a positive focused-today signal when present, and pats. Exact focus minutes, abandoned sessions, broken streaks, focus history, contact details, advertising identifiers and chat messages are not shared. Buddy data is not written to a public CloudKit database.

Season and time-of-day scenes work offline.

If you choose real weather and allow Location, the location is used only for the live WeatherKit request. Pomeow does not save Location in the app, its private backup, or a Focus Buddy share, and it does not save a weather cache to CloudKit.

Apple StoreKit processes the nine optional non-consumable cosmetic products and purchase restoration.

Pomeow does not receive your payment-card details. Gift packs do not affect timer functions, statistics, growth speed, fish or mementos, and fish cannot be purchased.

If you allow notifications, Pomeow schedules a local alert on your device when a session finishes.

Live Activity presents the running session on the Lock Screen and, on supported devices, the Dynamic Island.

Local data remains until you remove it or uninstall the app; Apple device backups are controlled by your Apple account.

A private growth backup remains until you delete it in Your cat’s world. Focus Buddy participants can export shared fields, unlink, or delete buddy cloud data in Stats; local deletion credentials are kept until CloudKit confirms deletion so a failed request can be retried. Exported local backup files remain in the location you selected until you remove them there; deleting the app or an iCloud growth backup does not delete separately saved files.

The app is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.

If a future version changes these practices, this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the App Store privacy label will be updated to match.
